I have always appreciated good craftsmanship and high quality - from carpentry to bakeries. Good Danish craftsmanship - where people make an effort, put their soul into their work, and where it can clearly be felt.
Wood can do something truly unique. I discovered this when I was briefly stressed as a young man. I found out that wood is therapeutic, and that there is plenty of evidence to support this. Wood stimulates and soothes all the senses - the smell, the feel and the aesthetics. Back to nature. That connection to nature is something many of us could benefit from.
However, I never became a carpenter or a baker, but a lawyer. Law school offered many long nights, and here I was introduced to a new friend - the double espresso. However, I discovered over time that I prefer them with milk. My new passion led to several latte art courses, espresso machines and the hunt for the best coffee beans.
One day I stood with a homemade wooden cup in my hand - that my sister had given me - and looked at my espresso machine and the idea for BAARK was born. The idea of wood on my espresso machine. Of good Danish craftsmanship on my machine. It took a long time to find the right woodturning shop. But I found it, and now you can also get your hands on good Danish craftsmanship - fresh from the turner - for your espresso machine.
We've made an effort - I hope you can feel that.

THE MISSION
We want to make the coffee experience better than ever!
By incorporating wood into our homes, we not only improve our mental well-being, but also transform the coffee experience into a sensory journey. Studies have shown that integrating natural elements - like wood - into our homes can reduce stress and improve mental health. Similarly, wood products enhance the sensory experience when we make our daily coffee. From the warm and lifelike feel of our wooden handles to the rich aroma of freshly ground beans, every contact with our products stimulates the senses and enhances the enjoyment of making a cup of coffee. By integrating the aesthetic and therapeutic benefits of wood into the coffee ritual, we want to enrich both the mind and the palate of our customers.
Sustainability and equality
We are deeply committed to sustainability in all aspects of our operations and strive to continuously adapt our efforts in line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals . Our vision is to minimize our environmental impact - particularly through support of certified sustainable forestry, local production and a focus on reusable packaging.
In addition, we want to promote equality and support female entrepreneurs in line with the UN's Sustainability Goal No. 5 . In the long term, we will do this by expanding our support to NGOs to also include initiatives that promote gender equality. When you buy products from BAARK, you actually also support female entrepreneurship yourself, as BAARK is a result of this.
By prioritizing sustainability, we will not only meet the needs of the moment, but also in the future.

All production affects the environment. That's why we want to give back. We are therefore proud to announce that we are donating 5% of our profits to WWF. By supporting WWF's crucial conservation efforts, we are not only contributing to the protection of endangered species and their habitats, but also investing in a sustainable future for our planet. This commitment reflects our dedication and belief in the importance of environmental stewardship. For us and our future generations.
